Rebellion has offered a new trailer for their upcoming third-person tactical shooter "Sniper Elite 4" that details the context of the game's campaign. This is only the first in a series of story-centric trailers, so stay tuned for more updates.
The game is set in 1943 Italy and the protagonist is Karl Fairburne, an Office of Strategic Services agent, who is tasked to assist the Italian resistance force in their fight against the Fascists. Here is the official synopsis:
"Covert agent and elite marksman Karl Fairburne must fight alongside the brave men and women of the Italian Resistance to help free their country from the yoke of Fascism, and defeat a terrifying new threat with the potential to halt the Allied fightback in Europe before it’s even begun. If his mission fails, there will be no Operation Overlord, no D-Day landings, and no Victory in Europe""Sniper Elite 4" will be released on February 14, 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
