20th Century Fox has released the first trailer and poster for the sequel "War for the Planet of the Apes", the third installment in the blockbuster prequel franchise.
The ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his fellow simians are forced into a devastating conflict with the human army led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson) who believes that the apes should be exterminated. The resulting war will determine the fate of both species and the future of the planet.
Directed by Matt Reeves ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes"), the film also stars Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Terry Notary, Karin Konoval and Max Lloyd-Jones.
"War for the Planet of the Apes" opens in theaters on July 14, 2017.
