Trailer and Poster for ARSENAL Starring Nicolas Cage

"Arsenal" is a thriller from director Steven C. Miller whose resume includes VOD films like "Marauders" and "Extraction". The film stars Adrian Grenier as the owner of a construction company who must rescue his mobster brother (Johnathon Schaech) who was kidnapped by ruthless crime boss Eddie King (Nicolas Cage). In his quest for vengeance, he also enlists the help of his brother's friend Sal (John Cusack), a plain clothes detective.

The strange thing about this movie is that it's actually a sequel to the 1993 thriller "Deadfall", which was directed by Christopher Coppola, Cages's brother. That film also starred Cage as an excentric wig-wearing character named Eddie. Why anyone would want to make a sequel to that film, is a big mystery to me, but maybe it has a cult following I don't know about.

The cast also includes Christopher Coppola, Megan Leonard, Christopher Rob Bowen, Tyler Jon Olson and Shea Buckner.

"Arsenal" will be released in select theaters and VOD on January 6, 2017.

Check out the trailer and poster after the jump.

Official Synopsis
"A powerful action thriller, ARSENAL tells the intertwining stories of the Lindel brothers, Mikey (Johnathon Schaech) and JP (Adrian Grenier), who had only each other to rely on growing up. As adults, JP found success as the owner of a construction company, while Mikey became a small-time mobster, mired in a life of petty crime.

When Mikey is kidnapped and held for a ransom by ruthless crime boss Eddie King (Nicolas Cage), JP turns to the brothers’ old pal Sal (John Cusack), a plain clothes detective for help. In order to rescue his brother, JP must risk everything and unleash his vengeance against King’s relentless army of gangsters."
