PREACHER TV Series Trailer and Poster

The first trailer and poster for AMC's new TV series "Preacher" have been released.

Created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin based on Garth Ennis' comic series of the same name, the show will follow small town Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) who is possessed by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. With the help of his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), Jesse embarks on a journey to find God.

The cast also features Ian Colletti, Derek Wilson, Jamie Anne Allman, Lucy Griffiths, Elizabeth Perkins and Lucas Neff.

"Preacher" will premiere mid-2016.

"Based on the twisted and popular ‘90s comic book franchise of the same name, “Preacher,” created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, is the story of Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper, Agent Carter) a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that allows him to develop a highly unconventional power. Jesse, his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun, This Is England) embark on a journey to, literally, find God. The Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios co-production was developed for television by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (“This Is the End,” “Superbad,” “Neighbors”) and showrunner Sam Catlin (“Breaking Bad”). The series is set to premiere mid-2016."
