First DOOM Gameplay Trailer and Pictures

Doom 4 Gameplay Trailer and Pictures

Bethesda revealed the gameplay trailer and footage for the fourth "Doom" game at its E3 conference. The trailer shows off the game's new idTech 6 engine and its simple, yet effective principles: run, aim, kill, pick up powerups. The latter still looks a little weird to me, but it's true to the game's roots. The gameplay footage displayed also showcased the multiplayer which will take place in arenas rangin from UAC facilities to the depths of hell. The online game modes will include "Domination", "Freeze Tag" and "Clan Arena". It was also announced that "Doom" will feature modding tools built into the game which will be a "a custom designed gateway to an endless stream of Doom experiences created by you." The game's story is as shallow as ever, simply giving the player an excuse to blow demons away using the usual array of weapons which will include a heavy assault rifle, super shotgun, plasma rifle and the fan-favorite chainsaw.

"Doom" will be released in Spring 2016.

Check out the trailer, footage and images after the jump.

Official Synopsis
"You’ve come here for a reason. The Union Aerospace Corporation’s massive research facility on Mars is overwhelmed by fierce and powerful demons, and only one person stands between their world and ours. As the lone DOOM Marine, you’ve been activated to do one thing – kill them all.

The legacy lives on with the fourth installment of the popular FPS game from id Software. This next-generation Doom features single-player and multiplayer modes, as well as an advanced SnapMap stage design feature for fast and comprehensive stage creation that can be quickly shared online with other Doom players."
