2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners Announced


The Screen Actors Guild announced their winners last evening and "American Hustle" took home the award for Best Ensemble, which is fitting considering that all four protagonists of David O. Russell's film, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence were nominated for Oscars this year. Other winners include Cate Blancett for "Blue Jasmine", Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto for "Dallas Buyers Club", Lupita Nyong’O for "12 Years a Slave", and in the TV categories, "Modern Family" and "Breaking Bad" won top honors.

Best Actress: Cate Blanchett – Blue Jasmine

Best Actor: Matthew McConaughey – Dallas Buyers Club

Best Supporting Actress: Lupita Nyong’O – 12 Years a Slave

Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto – Dallas Buyers Club

Best Ensemble in a Drama Series: Breaking Bad

Best Actor in a Drama Series: Bryan Cranston – Breaking Bad

Best Actress in a Drama Series: Maggie Smith – Downton Abbey

Best Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie: Michael Douglas – Behind the Candelabra

Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie: Helen Mirren – Phil Spector

Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series: Modern Family

Best Actor in a Comedy Series: Ty Burrell – Modern Family

Best Actress in a Comedy Series: Julia Louis-Dreyfus – Veep
