News Articles :
- 2011 Emmy Nominations Announced - No big surprises really, big love for the usual customers. I just wished "Fringe" could have earned some noms.
- TOTAL RECALL First Official Image - First image from Len Wiseman's remake of "Total Recall" shows Colin Farrell in trouble. I have serious doubts about the movie, but I'll wait for the trailer before bad-mouthing the project.
- EVIL DEAD Remake is Alive and Well - Finally, they're doing this. Better late than never and better a remake than not at all. Check out the full disclosure on the "Evil Dead" project.
New Trailers and Featurettes
- THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN (2011) - International Trailer - The Steven Spielberg/Peter Jackson collab looks great, but CG animated flicks, especially the ones using motion capture usually catch a lot of flak for looking unrealistic. Maybe this one will change all that.
- SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 - Teaser Trailer and Posters - The first look at Guy Ritchie's sequel to his 2009 reimagining of the classic character. This one looks just as zany, so fans of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original character are surely disappointed.
- HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 - "A Look Back" Featurette - Because we need it. A look back at the entire series and plot evolution. Not a bad idea when your franchise spans eight movies.
- HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 - "The Story of Snape" Featurette - An in-depth look at one of the Harry Potter saga's most recognizable characters and one of the most morally ambiguous in the series. Alan Rickman rocks !
- CONTAGION (2011) - Trailer - The return of Steven Soderbergh comes in the form of an apocalyptic thriller that plays on the killer virus genre. Will it be different from the other movies, like the 1995 "Outbreak" starring Dustin Hoffman ?
- HUGO (2011) - Trailer - Martin Scorsese tries on two new directions. Making a family film and doing it in 3D. Watch the master at work.
- FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS (2011) - New Red Band Trailer - The new movie from "Easy A" director Will Gluck wants to break the rom-com conventions. Can they do it ?
- THE THING (2011) - Trailer - The prequel to John Carpenter's classic horror looks effective in emulating the feel of the original. But is it any good ? And is Mary Elizabeth Winstead the right choice for this movie ?
- JOHN CARTER (2012) - Teaser Trailer - Sci-Fi adventures are rare these days, but they do seem to be making a comeback. Enjoy this adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel "John Carter of Mars", from Disney.
- ARTHUR CHRISTMAS (2011) - Teaser Trailer - It's never too early for Christmas. Enjoy the teaser for this wonderful holiday familiy film.
- BLITZ (2011) - US Trailer - Jason Statham kick butt like there's no tomorrow. This movie has been already been in theaters in some countries around the world, but not the US. This domestic trailer might hint at the possibility of an actual release date.
New Movie Clips
- THE SMURFS (2011) - 8 New Movie Clips - Did we really need a "Garfield"-like Smurfs movie ? Not really, but after "Alvin and the Chipmunks" hit the jackpot with this blend of CGI and live-action, everybody wants a piece of the pie. I think it would have worked just fine as a fully animated flick.
- FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS (2011) - 4 New Movie Clips - New clips from "Easy A" director Will Gluck's latest naughty comedy. Will it be a big hit ? I dunno. But it does have its moments as you can see from these clips.
