Directed by Craig Gillespie ("The Finest Hours"), the biopic "I, Tonya" chronicles the rise of competitive ice skater Tonya Harding (Margot Robbie) and the incident that ended her career which involved her husband Jeff Gillooly (Sebastian Stan). The cast also includes Allison Janney, Caitlin Carver, Bobby Cannavale, Bojana Novakovic, Julianne Nicholson and Mckenna Grace.

"I, Tonya" premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in select theaters on December 8th. The film garnered high praise from critics and nabbed three Golden Globes nominations for Best Motion Picture (Musical/Comedy), Actress in a Supporting Role (Janney) and Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy (Robbie).

Though Harding was the first American woman to complete a triple axel in competition, her legacy was forever defined by her association with an infamous, ill-conceived, and even more poorly executed attack on fellow Olympic competitor Nancy Kerrigan.
