"Snatched" is a comedy written by Katie Dippold" ("Ghostbusters") and directed by Jonathan Levine ("50/50"). The film stars Amy Schumer as a young woman who is dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their exotic vacation, which forces her to travel with her mother (Goldie Hawn). What was supposed to be paradise turns into a nightmare when the two women are kidnapped and have to work out their differences in order to make it out alive.

The film also stars Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Randall Park, Wanda Sykes, Joan Cusack, and Kim Caramele.

"Snatched" opened in theaters on May 12, 2017 and received generally negative reviews. The film is expected to finish its opening weekend at the box-office with around $15 million after grossing $675,000 from Thursday night previews.

"After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter - in unpredictable, hilarious fashion - is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.
