The fantasy adventure film "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" is a revisionist take on the Arthurian legends directed by Guy Ritchie ("Sherlock Holmes").

Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy") stars as Arthur, a young man who grew up living the hard life in the back alleys of the city. What he doesn't know is that he is destined to become a great king and was robbed of his birthright by his evil uncle (Jude Law). But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life will be forever changed.

The film also stars Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Annabelle Wallis, Aidan Gillen, Eric Bana and Poppy Delevingne.

"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" opened in theaters on May 12th, 2017 and received mostly negative reviews. The film is expected to finish its opening weekend at the box-office with around $25 million after grossing $1.15 million from Thursday night previews.
