It wasn't a great week for new releases, as the new Smurfs film and the comedy "Going in Style" performed well, but didn't break any records. Meanwhile, last week's No.1 movie "The Boss Baby" is still the box-office king, while Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" follows close behind.

Find out more about the weekend box office after the jump.

Fox's animated hit "The Boss Baby" held its ground at the top of the box-office this week with $26.3 million in its second weekend, grossing $89.3 million domestically in ten days. The film has also taken in $110.3 million overseas, bringing its worldwide cume close to $200 million.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is close behind in second place with $25 million, and the film's global total is now extremely close to the $1 billion mark.

In third place we have the first new arrival, Sony's animated reboot "Smurfs: The Lost Village". The film opened with $14 million and earned an additional $42 million overseas from 58 markets. The reception from critics was mixed to negative (40% on Rotten Tomatoes and 40 on Metacritic), but opening day audiences enjoyed it according to the "A" grade on CinemaScore.

At #4 we have another new release, the comedy "Going in Style", which opened with $12.5 million, a bit more than pundits predicted for the film. It also brought in $4.3 million from 32 foreign markets. The film scored a "B+" from CinemaScore, while critics had mixed feelings about it (44% on Rotten Tomatoes and 50 on Metacritic).

"Ghost in the Shell" plummetted to #5 this week and grossed $7.3 million after a weak $18.7 million opening weekend. So far, the film has grossed $31.5 million domestically. It did a little better internationally with an estimated $41.3 million, bringing its overseas cume to $92.8 million, which somewhat saves Paramount from a total disaster.

Rounding up the Top 10 is the last of the new wide releases, the faith-based drama "The Case for Christ", with a $3.9 million opening weekend from 1,174 theaters. It also received an "A+" from CinemaScore and some decent reviews from critics (71% on Rotten Tomatoes)
