The FX series "The Americans" returns for a fifth season tonight at 10p. The show has been renewed for two seasons, and the sixth will also be its last, although reduced to only 10 episodes.
Created by Joseph Weisberg, the espionage drama followed two Soviet intelligence agents, played by Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, living undercover as a married couple on U.S. soil on a mission to spy on the American government. The cast also includes Noah Emmerich, Holly Taylor, Costa Ronin, Frank Langella, Margo Martindale, Laurie Holden and Daniel Flaherty.

Official Synopsis
"After witnessing Elizabeth kill two men, Paige trades in church for training sessions with mom. First, self defense. Second could tear the family apart. The beginning of the end for Paige and Matthew looms."
