In a town like Thimbleweed Park a dead body is the least of your problems. That's what the tagline for the new Kickstarter funded adventure game "Thimbleweed Park" says, and judging from this new trailer, it's all true.
Created by Ron Gilbert ("Monkey Island", "Day of the Tentacle") and Gary Winnick ("Maniac Mansion"), the game is a classic point-and-click graphic adventure in the vein of Lucasarts' games of the early 1990s, complete with the verb interface used to make characters perform actions. Players can also switch between five different characters throughout the game.
"Thimbleweed Park" will be released early 2017 for Windows, Mac, Xbox One, Linux, iOS and Android. Other platforms will follow afterwards.

Official Synopsis
"Lost along a dusty stretch of highway, this proud town once boasted an opulent hotel, a vibrant business district, and the state’s largest pillow factory, but now stinks of a desperate longing to be what it once was.
A body has been found in the river, bloated and pixelated from the decay of a death come too soon. Agents Ray and Reyes arrive and are immediately suspicious of each other’s intentions, then a couple of pigeons show up and start talking about the signals and it only gets weirder from there.
A cursed clown, a disinherited game designer, and the ghost of pillow salesmen join the story and add their own complications."
