Trailer and Images for BEACHES Starring Idina Menzel and Nia Long

The Lifetime movie "Beaches" is a remake of the 1988 film of the same name that starred Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey. Directed by Allison Anders ("Four Rooms"), the remake stars Idina Menzel and Nia Long as lifelong best friends, and it also features the classic songs "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "The Glory of Love" as well as new songs written specifically for the movie. The soundtrack is available via Amazon.

"Beaches" premieres on Lifetime on January 21st.

"In this contemporary remake, "Beaches" follows the serendipitous meeting of two young girls on the Venice Boardwalk, who, though worlds apart in lifestyle, embark on unexpected and lifelong friendship.
