Following a rather secretive production, the second season of the Netflix sci-fi series "Sense8" has finally been announced along with an official synopsis and a few images. All 10 episodes of the new season will be launched on Friday, May 5, 2017. Not only that, but Netflix has revealed the existence of a two-hour Christmas Special that will stream globally on Friday, December 23rd, and you can check out the trailer after the jump.
The show was originally created by Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski and Michael Straczynski, and it stars Toby Onwumere, Tina Desai, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Jamie Clayton, Tuppence Middleton, Donna Bae, Brian J. Smith and Max Riemelt.

"Picking up where season one left off, Capheus (Toby Onwumere), Kala (Tina Desai), Lito (Miguel Angel Silvestre), Nomi (Jamie Clayton), Riley (Tuppence Middleton) , Sun (Donna Bae), Will (Brian J. Smith) and Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) come together both physically and mentally, plunged into the middle of each other’s tragedies and triumphs. On the run from Whispers (Terrence Mann), and forced to question their very identity, it’s a matter of survival as the Sensates must find a way to live with, understand and protect one another against all odds."
