Amazon has premiered the new season of its dystopian series "The Man in the High Castle". The show was created by "The X-Files" executive-producer Frank Spotnitz, based on Philip K. Dick's novel of the same name that chronicled an alternate history in which World War II ended with the victory of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan against the Allies.
Set in 1962, the series follows four characters, Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos), Frank Frink (Rupert Evans), Joe Blake (Luke Kleintank), John Smith (Rufus Sewell) and Nobusuke Tagomi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), as they navigate this strange new world. The series is executive-produced by Ridley Scott and it also stars DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente and Chelah Horsdal.

Official Synopsis
"Germany and Japan move closer to war in the second season where Juliana (Alexa Davalos) faces consequences of her actions, Joe (Luke Kleintank) end up in Berlin, Frank (Rupert Evans) feels closer to the resistance after seeing the films, John Smith (Rufus Sewell) feels conflicted as his son becomes sicker, Trade Minister Tagomi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) has regrets and Chief Inspector Kido (Joel de la Fuente) seeks to figure out the connections between Julianna, the films and the Man in the High Castle."
