In Theaters: STAR TREK BEYOND, ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE, LIGHTS OUT, ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE

This week in theaters it's time to geek out over "Star Trek Beyond", the latest chapter in the rebooted sci-fi saga. The critics loved it and, so far, it looks like it will dominate the weekend box-office.

For kids, 20th Century Fox has released the latest (and much hated) new chapter in the "Ice Age" saga, "Collision Course". This one didn't get much love from critics. In fact, it's rare that critics completely rip apart an animated film like they did with this one.

Anyway, if neither of the above films are you type, then you could try the new horror film produced by James Wan, "Lights Out", which received mostly positive notices. In limited release, if you're a fan of British comedy, check out "Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie", a continuation of the TV series of the same name.

Synopses, details, critical reception, trailers, clips and more after the jump.
