The first trailer and posters for the animated sequel "Ice Age: Collision Course" have been released. The film's new plot is triggered by Scrat himself when his epic pursuit to get his claws on the legendary acorn catapults him outside of Earth, where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the planet.
Directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu, the film features the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Melissa Rauch, Jennifer Lopez, Adam Levine, Nick Offerman, Simon Pegg, Stephanie Beatriz, Wanda Sykes and Max Greenfield.
"Ice Age: Collision Course" opens in theaters on July 22, 2016.
