"Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie" is the big screen continuation of the British TV series of the same name which starred Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley as Edina and Patsy, two middle-aged career women of the London fashion scene who spend their time abusing drugs, alcohol and fashion in a misguided attempt to stay young and "hip".
The film picks up where the series left off, with Edina and Patsy still enjoying the glitz and glamour of the high life they are accustomed to. But when they attract both the media and the police's attention for accidentally knocking Kate Moss into the River Thames, the two women flee to the glamorous French Riviera where they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life until the end of times.
Directed by Mandie Fletcher, the film also stars Julia Sawalha, Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, Jane Horrocks, Celia Imrie, Emma Bunton, Gwendoline Christie, Chris Colfer, Jon Hamm, Suki Waterhouse, Lily Cole, Stella McCartney, Daisy Lowe, Lara Stone, Alesha Dixon and Alexa Chung.
The film is beginning a limited run in U.S. theaters today.

"Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London's trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!"
