EA has released the official "Launch Trailer" for their upcoming video game "Mirror's Edge: Catalyst", and we also have thirty-six images to keep you occupied until the game gets released.
The game is a prequel to 2009's acclaimed action-adventure platformer "Mirror's Edge" which told the story of Faith Connors, a futuristic courier who had to run and jump her way through a dystopian city to deliver messages and information while evading a totalitarian government's surveillance. The new game will focus on Faith's origin story as she stirs things up with the city's Conglomerate and a new evil villain named Gabriel Kruger.
Here's what senior producer Sara Jansson had to say about the game's new mechanics:
"Now the fighting is more of an extension of the movement. It builds on the flow. It fits a lot better with the game mechanics. When Faith is in flow, when she stitches together move after move without failing and keeps her momentum going, she’s actually invulnerable to bullets. That can keep her out of harm’s way. It’s only when she stops that she can get hurt.""Mirror's Edge: Catalyst" will be released on June 7th (NA) and June 9th (EU) on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (Origin).
Check out the trailer and images after the jump.
