20th Century Fox has released the official trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse" along with a batch of new images and two posters.
The sequel to "X-Men Days of Future Past" introduces the powerful mutant Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) who has been worshiped as a god since the dawn of civilization. Awakened after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the new world and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
Directed by Bryan Singer, the film also stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Olivia Munn, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor, Sophie Turner and Alexandra Shipp.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.

Official Synopsis
"Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction."
