Olivia Munn ("The Newsroom") has joined the cast of Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse". The sequel to last year's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will take place in the 1980s and will pit the X-Men against an ancient mutant known as Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). Munn will star as Betsy Braddock a.k.a. Psylocke, a mutant with telepathic abilities who is depicted in the comics as a Japanese ninja assassin. The film's ensemble also includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Rose Byrne and Alexandra Shipp. "X-Men: Apocalypse" opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
