The Boss (2016) Movie Trailer, Images and Poster

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer, images and poster for the comedy "The Boss", previously titled "Michelle Darnell".

Melissa McCarthy stars as Michelle Darnell, an American titan of industry who is sent to prison for insider trading. When she is released, she emerges ready to rebrand herself but soon finds out that not everyone is ready to forgive and forget.

Written by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, and directed by Falcone ("Tammy"), the film also stars Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage, Kathy Bates, Kristen Schaal, Timothy Simons, Margo Martindale and Cecily Strong.

"The Boss" opens in theaters on April 8, 2016.

McCarthy is joined in The Boss by an all-star cast led by Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates. Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. The film is produced by McCarthy and Falcone through their On the Day productions and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions."
