Entertainment Weekly is joining the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" marketing campaign frenzy with four new covers and twenty-three images. The new photos mostly revolve around scenes that we've already seen in the trailers, but they're still cool to look at. Disney is keeping all things plot-related locked up as tightly as possible, so much so that the film will not be screened in advance for critics to avoid spoiling any surprises. This includes the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and the Screen Actors Guild, effectively leaving the film out of the upcoming awards season.
Directed by J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek") The film stars Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Domhnall Gleeson, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters on December 18, 2015.
