Ricki and the Flash Movie Trailer, Poster and Images

Sony has released the first trailer, poster and images for the dramedy "Ricki and the Flash". The film stars Meryl Streep as a musician who gave up everything, including her family, for her dream of rock-and-roll stardom. Years later, she returns home looking to make things right with her family.

Jonathan Demme ("The Silence of the Lambs", "Philadelphia") directs from a script by Diablo Cody ("Juno"), and once again, it looks like Streep will drive this movie through yet another flawless performance. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets another Oscar nomination. These days, all she has to do to get a nod is show up in a movie. The film also stars Streep's real-life daughter Mamie Gummer (as her movie daughter), Kevin Kline, Sebastian Stan, Audra McDonald and Rick Springfield.

"Ricki and the Flash" opens in theaters on August 7th.
