PLAYING IT COOL Trailer, Images and Poster

Playing It Cool Movie Trailer, Poster, Images

The romantic comedy "Playing It Cool" gets a limited release in theaters today, so here are the official trailer, some images and a poster for the movie. Chris Evans ("Avengers: Age of Ultron") stars as ME, a screenwriter working on a script for a romantic movie who doesn't quite believe in love anymore. While pretending to be a philanthropist at a charity dinner, he falls in love with HER (Michelle Monaghan), a gorgeous woman who is, unfortunately, engaged. In order to continue seeing each other, the two embark on a platonic relationship while ME tries to win HER heart with the power of imagination.

The movie plays against the usual cliches and trappings of the rom-com genre and can be quite inventive, although the final result will probably divide viewers. The critical reception has been generally negative with reviews pointing out the fact that the movie spends too much time in the fantasy realm and ultimately becomes a parody rather than a sincerely subversive treatment of the genre.

Directed by Justin Reardon, the film also stars Aubrey Plaza, Anthony Mackie, Ioan Gruffudd, Topher Grace, Ashley Tisdale, Beverly D'Angelo and Luke Wilson.

Check out the trailer, poster and images after the jump.

Official Synopsis
"While pretending to be a philanthropist at a charity dinner, the man meets a gorgeous woman named HER (Monaghan). The only catch: she's engaged. In order to continue seeing each other, the two embark on a platonic relationship, one that gets pushed to the test as the two begin to realize they may have unrequited feelings for one another. Like a young Walter Mitty, ME uses the power of imagination and wild vignettes to conquer HER heart."
