Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale are set to star in the financial drama "The Big Short". The film, which will reportedly be an ensemble drama in the vein of "Traffic", is based on the book "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine" by Michael Lewis ("Moneyball") and it follows the key players who were responsible for the crippling 2008 financial crisis. The script is being written by Adam McKay ("Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues") who is also attached to direct. There is no information available at the moment as to when filming might begin. While Pitt and Gosling are not currently involved in any projects, Bale is filming "The Deep Blue Goodbye".
