The Directors Guild of America has announced its nominations for the 67th Annual DGA Awards. The five directors nominated are:
- Wes Anderson - "The Grand Budapest Hotel"
- Clint Eastwood - "American Sniper"
- Alejandro González Iñárritu - "Birdman"
- Richard Linklater - "Boyhood"
- Morton Tyldum - "The Imitation Game"
As with the other Guild Awards, the DGAs too are solid indicators for the Oscars. Some noticeable snubs here include
David Fincher for
"Gone Girl" and
Ava DuVernay for
"Selma". The latter film has been pretty much ignored by the Guilds and was recently snubbed by the BAFTAs, so its Oscar prospects are not looking good. The winners will be announced on February 7, 2015.
