A few weeks ago it was rumored that the Bourne trilogy star Matt Damon and franchise director Paul Greengrass will both return for a new installment, one that would be separate from the Jeremy Renner series started in 2012 with "The Bourne Legacy". In an interview for E! Online, Damon offered the first official confirmation:
"Yes, [we shoot] next year. It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.But before filming begins on the new Bourne movie next fall, Matt Damon is also set to star in the drama "Manchester-by-the-Sea", Ridley Scott's "The Martian" and Alexander Payne's "Downsizing".
