We finally have some official news regarding "Now You See Me 2", the sequel to last year's surprise hit directed by Louis Leterrier. Lionsgate has confirmed that the new film will star Daniel Radcliffe ("Harry Potter") as the son of Michael Caine's character from the first film. He will be joined by Lizzy Caplan ("Masters of Sex") and Jay Chou ("The Green Hornet"). Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Dave Franco will reprise their roles from the original. The studio has also released the first official synopsis:
"One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in NOW YOU SEE ME 2 only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet."
"Now You See Me 2" will be directed by Jon M. Chu ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation") from a script by Pete Chiarelli ("The Proposal"). The release date has been set for June 10, 2016.
