2014 Emmy Nominations Announced; TRUE DETECTIVE, FARGO, AMERICAN HORROR STORY Among Top Nominees

2014 Emmy Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning. Many of the year's acclaimed series have received several noms, including HBO's "True Detective", AMC's "Breaking Bad", Netflix's "House of Cards" and FX's "Fargo", to name but a few. The highest number of nominations this year were scored by "Game of Thrones", with no less than 19 nods, and HBO also leads among networks. The Emmy Awards will air live on NBC, Monday, August 25th at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and the show will be hosted by "Saturday Night" alum Seth Meyers.
