The R-rated kidnapping drama "Prisoners" starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal was the #1 movie of the weekend and overpowered its competition by grossing $21 million in three days. The film is the US debut of Academy Award-nominated director Denis Villeneuve ("Incendies") and it is one of 2013's Oscar hopefuls. Meanwhile, the dance flick "Battle of the Year" starring Lost's Josh Holloway grossed a poor $5 million, placing fifth at the box-office. The IMAX/3D re-release of "The Wizard of Oz" grossed $3 million and placed 9th. Although not part of the top 10, Ron Howard's racing drama "Rush" underperformed, grossing $40,000 from five theaters in its limited release. The film will get its wide release next Friday.

More box-office details and the complete top 10, after the jump.
