Weekend Box-Office Report: ONE DIRECTION Replaces THE BUTLER at No.1

While the weekend box-office results were not quite impressive, the 3D concert movie "One Direction: This is Us" managed to push off "Lee Daniels' The Butler" from the top spot with a solid gross of $17 million. "We're the Millers" was also pushed down one spot, but Disney's "Planes" surprised everyone and climbed up one spot. Another major surprise was the appearance of the foreign language comedy "Instructions Not Included" ("No se Aceptan Devoluciones"), which opened at #5 with $7.5 million. The action flick "Getaway" starring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez, proved to be this week's box-office bomb. The film opened in ninth place and grossed only $4.5 million. Although the film is a small-budget affair, it's still painful for the studio, particularly producer Joel Silver, that the film almost didn't make it in the top 10.
