Two new images (above; click to enlarge) have been released for the sequel "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and they provide a closer look at the Sentinels, the mutant-hunting machines created by Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage). One of the images is a set photo of director Bryan Singer standing next to a scale model of a Sentinel, an indication that they will mix of practical and CGI effects for the killer robots, and the other image is a blueprint of a Sentinel. The film's plot takes place in two timelines. One is set in the future and focuses on the X-Men's efforts to send Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time to stop the Sentinel program from being created. According to the Trask Industries viral website the first Sentinel production model, the Mark I, was introduced in 1973. So Wolverine gets sent back to meet the cast of "X-Men: First Class". It's reasonable to assume that the future timeline will not take too much of the film's time, most of the plot focusing on the 1970s. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Peter Dinklage, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, Evan Peters and Halle Berry.
