2011 was a good year for blockbusters, with some that were worse than expected and others that completely surpassed expectations. When it comes down to box-office results, it's all about the usual suspects and it was certainly a great year for sequels, especially those with very long titles, like
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2",
"Transformers: Dark of the Moon",
"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1", which performed very well (despite harsh reviews in some cases). Here's a look (after the jump) at the domestic and worldwide top 10 box-office hits for 2011 :
