'The Hobbit' Production Has Begun (Finally !)

After a long string of troubles and delays, "The Hobbit" has now commenced filming. Director Peter Jackson has started principal photography yesterday, March 21, 2011, in Wellington, New Zealand. There are some cool production photos on Jackson's Facebook page. I'm glad that things worked out the way they did and Peter Jackson returned to direct. It would have been interesting to see Guillermo del Toro lend his dark vision to the story, but in the end, it's better to let the creator of one of the most resounding adaptations ever commited on-screen, I am referring to "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, of course, get a chance to extend that cinematic experience. And who knows, maybe win some more Oscars.
