The new Superman movie is gearing up with an impressive lineup of actors. After Henry Cavill signed on as Clark Kent, Diane Lane has been officially cast as Martha Kent, Clark's adoptive mother. Still a rumor is Kevin Costner's casting as Jonathan Kent. Awaiting casting confirmations are the villain parts, Ursa and General Zod. The Zack Snyder directed Superman reboot, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer, is shaping up to be a pretty interesting project. Snyder has a distinctly visual narrative style that could prove to be the radical element that the franchise needs. The previous attempt at a reboot, the 2005 "
Superman Returns
" sequel directed by Bryan Singer was only mildly successful and failed to spark a new Superman revolution. Maybe this time they can pull off something truly worthy of the big S.
