George Miller's sequel to his own classic trilogy has had a difficult pre-production progress. This time it starts production for real, I hope, around January 2012, in Australia. Shooting was supposed to start this year, but the weather has proven to be just as mad as the titular character. Mel Gibson has been replaced by Inception'
s Tom Hardy two years ago and the rest of the cast is pretty much locked in. Alongside Hardy, the post-apocalyptic action movie will star Charlize Theron, Nicolas Hoult and Zoe Kravitz. Also, the movie will be shot in 3D (rolling eyes). Oh, and it's going to be called...wait for it...MAD MAX : FURY ROAD. It has a nice thunderous ring to it. Too bad there will be no more of Gibson's gloomy anti-hero antics.
