Animal Farm (May 1, 2026 - in theaters)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Synopsis:

"A satirical allegory of revolution and power, Animal Farm traces how a movement for equality is systematically corrupted. As the pigs consolidate control, truth is erased, dissent is crushed, and the farm descends into a ruthless dictatorship—fulfilling Orwell’s warning about the dangers of communism."

Wasteman (February 20, 2026 - UK)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Synopsis:

"The directorial debut of Cal McMau, Wasteman tells the incredible story of how a convict’s chances for early prison release come under threat from his ruthlessly violent new cellmate in this uncompromisingly brutal British thriller.

After years in prison, in which time his son has grown up without him, Taylor’s parole is approaching. It’s bad timing, then, that new cellmate Dee ropes Taylor into violent inmate rivalries, endangering his fresh start. Cal McMau’s feature debut is an intense and claustrophobic portrait of a merciless prison eco-system, featuring standout performances from rising British stars David Jonsson and Tom Blyth."

Paying for It (January 30, 2026 - NY)

JUMP BACK TO TOP

Synopsis:

"Chester, a cartoonist, and Sonny, a TV host - are a long-term, committed romantic couple. When Sonny introduces the idea of opening up their relationship, Chester begins sleeping with sex workers, forcing him to face his issues with intimacy and romance in the process.

Based on the best-selling graphic novel by acclaimed alternative-cartoonist Chester Brown, Paying For It is a “provocative, hilarious and heartfelt” (The Globe and Mail) personal take on romance and relationships. From writer/director Sook-Yin Lee, the film “displays a maturity and thoughtfulness (...) in the messy contradictions we may hold about love” (RogerEbert.com)."
