"Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus" is the second anime show in the "Rascal Does Not Dream" series based on the light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keji Mizoguchi. The light novel series has inspired multiple anime works, including 2018's "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" anime and the "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl", "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid" anime films.

Soichi Masui returns as director at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Masahiro Yokotani, character designs by Satomi Tamura and music by fox capture plan ("Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective"). The opening song is "Snowdrop" by Conton Candy, and the closing theme is "The Horizon is My Old Wound" by Uzuki Hirokawa.

The voice cast includes Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Sora Amamiya, Aya Yamane, Konomi Kohara, Manaka Iwami and Reina Ueda. "Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus" premiered on July 5, 2025 and is also streaming on Crunchyroll.

The English dub was released on Crunchyroll on July 26, 2025, and it features the voices of Lisa Reimold, Ryan Bartley, Xanthe Huynh, Maureen Price and Anjali Kunapaneni.
