"The Stolen Girl" is a mystery thriller miniseries based on the novel "Playdate" by Alex Dahl. The adaptation is penned by Catherine Moulton and directed by Eva Husson.

The show tells the story of a mother whose world is turned upside down when her nine-year-old-daughter goes missing after what appeared to be a normal sleepover at her new best friend's house, forcing her to embark on a high-stakes cat-and-mouse chase across Europe to discover the shocking truth about her daughter's disappearance. The cast includes Holliday Grainger, Denise Gough, Jim Sturgess, Bronagh Waugh, Ambika Mod, Michael Workeye, Beatrice Cohen and Robyn Betteridge.

The five-part drama premiered on April 16 exclusively on Disney+ in the UK and on Hulu and Freeform in the US.
