"The Gardener" ("El Jardinero") is a Spanish romantic thriller miniseries created by Miguel Saez Carral ("Not One More") and produced by DLO Producciones. The six-episode series stars Alvaro Rico ("Sky High: The Series", "Holy Family"), Cecilia Suarez ("The House of Flowers", "Someone Has to Die"), and Catalina Sopelana ("The Crystal Cuckoo", "Sky Rojo").

The story follows Elmer (Rico) and his controlling mother La China Jurado (Suarez) who operate a contract killing business. Left emotionless after an accident, Elmer falls for Violeta (Sopelana), a teacher he's hired to kill and must learn to love while his mother tries to eliminate Violeta.

"The Gardener" premiered globally on Netflix on April 11, 2025.

"The Gardener tells the story of Elmer and his controlling mother, La China Jurado, who runs a garden center that hides another thriving underground murder-for-hire business. Killing is easy for Elmer. An accident has left him emotionless. However, while planning the murder of Violet, a charming nursery school teacher, he falls in love with her. Elmer must learn to love while his mother does everything she can to end Violet's life."
