"Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" is a post-apocalyptic action adventure film directed by George Miller from a script he co-wrote alongside Nico Lathouris. The film is the fifth installment in the "Mad Max" franchise, and a prequel to 2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road". The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Alyla Browne and Angus Sampson. The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, and opened in theaters on May 23, 2024 in Australia, and on May 24th in the US.

"Snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers, young Furiosa falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel, presided over by the Immortan Joe. As the two tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home."
