"Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" is parody biopic directed by Eric Appel from a script co-written by Appel and Al Yankovic. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, Arturo Castro and Julianne Nicholson. Created as a satire of biopics, the film is only loosely based on Yankovic's life, and is actually based on a 2010 fake trailer produced by Appel for Funny or Die. "Weird: The Al Yankovic Story" premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and was released via The Roku Channel on November 4, 2022.
