"The Outpost" is a war drama directed by Rod Lurie ("The Last Castle") from a script by Paul Tamasy & Eric Johnson) ("The Fighter", "Patriots Day") based on the 2012 non-fiction book "The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor".

The film tells the true story of the 53 U.S. soldiers who battled a force of some 400 enemy insurgents in north-eastern Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The cast includes Orlando Bloom, Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, Milo Gibson and Jack Kesy.

"The Outpost" was released in select theaters and digitally on July 3, 2020.
