"Sergio" is a biopic directed by documentary filmmaker Greg Barker ("The Final Year", "Sergio") from a script written by Craig Borten ("Dallas Buyers Club") based on Samantha Power's book "Chasing the Flame: One Man's Fight to Save the World".

The film is set during the chaotic aftermath of the US invasion of Iraq, and it stars Wagner Moura as top UN diplomat Sergio Vieira de Mello, whose life hangs in the balance during the most treacherous mission of his career. Ana de Armas, Brian F. O'Byrne, Garret Dillahunt and Bradley Whitford co-star.

"Sergio" premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and it was released on April 17, 2020 on Netflix.
