"The Grudge" is a supernatural horror film written and directed by Nicolas Pesce ("The Eyes of My Mother"). Produced by Sam Raimi ("Spider-Man", "Evil Dead"), the film is a reboot of the 2004 American remake of the Japanese horror film "Ju-On".

The film centers on a house cursed by a vengeful ghost, and it follows a detective (Andrea Riseborough), who attempts to investigate a mysterious case involving a young mother who murdered her family in the haunted house. The cast also features John Cho, Betty Gilpin, Demian Bichir, William Sadler, Frankie Faison and Lin Shaye.

"The Grudge" opened in theaters on January 3, 2020.

"After a young mother murders her family in her own house, a detective attempts to investigate the mysterious case, only to discover that the house is cursed by a vengeful ghost. Now targeted by the demonic spirits, the detective must do anything to protect herself and her family from harm."
