"Terminator: Dark Fate" is a sci-fi action film directed by Tim Miller ("Deadpool") from a script by David Goyer ("The Dark Knight"), Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray ("Captain Phillips").

The film is the sixth installment in the "Terminator" franchise, and a direct sequel to "Terminator 2: Judgement Day". The other films and series in the franchise have been described by Cameron as occuring in alternate timelines.

Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise their roles from the original films, and they are joined by Mackenzie Davis as a cybernetically-enhanced soldier from the future, and Gabriel Luna as Rev-9, a new advanced Terminator protoype sent back in time to kill a young woman (Natalia Reyes) who is destined to become the new mother of a Resistance leader.

"Terminator: Dark Fate" opened in theaters on November 1, 2019.

"More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator -- a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) -- travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani's survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton).
