"El Chicano" is an action thriller directed by "The Grey" and "Iron Man" stunt coordinator Ben Hernandez Bray. The film is the first Latino superhero movie. Joe Carnahan ("The Grey", "Narc") produced and also penned the script alongside Bray.

Raul Castillo stars as L.A.P.D. Detective Diego Hernandez, who discovers links between a gang war and the death of his brother. Diego assumes the identity of a masked vigilante named El Chicano and sets off a bloody war to defend his city and avenge his brother's murder. The film also stars Aimee Garcia, Jose Pablo Cantillo, David Castaneda, Marco Rodriguez, Kate Del Castillo, George Lopez and Sal Lopez.

"El Chicano" received a limited release in theaters on May 3, 2019.
