"A Madea Family Funeral" is Tyler Perry's final installment in the film series featuring the titular character. Perry has played Madea in a total of eleven films (including a cameo in "Meet the Browns" and supporting appearances in "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and "I Can Do Bad All By Myself").

The story centers on a joyous family reunion turns into a hilarious nightmare as Madea and the crew travel to backwoods Georgia and unexpectedly plan a funeral, which threatens to reveal sordid family secrets. The cast also includes Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Ciera Payton, KJ Smith, David Otunga and Rome Flynn.

"A Madea Family Funeral" opened in theaters on March 1, 2019 and received mostly negative reviews from critics.
